Mahlzeit Am Meer in Duhnen

Very delicious food and, above all, a little more imagination in the kitchen. Here, at first glance, the simple dish tastes even more special and surprising.

It was great and a treat for the palate. After a friendly welcome, we were soon visited by the chef, who gave us his personal recommendation. Since we were there the evening before the lockdown, they tried to "get rid of" everything but in a really nice way and what wasn't there, was compensated for with another really fantastic dish. I would like to express my "praise" and recommendation.

Brilliant. Incredibly tasty and high quality. Boss came to the table to advise us. Staff very attentive, friendly and pleasantly communicative. Value for money: completely justified prices. A slightly better place and for special occasions!

We went here for the first time today on a recommendation. Great restaurant! Pleasant atmosphere! Very tasty food! And above all very child / friendly! With an extra children's card. Top! We felt very comfortable and can only recommend this great restaurant!

Attentive service and great food. A changing range of seasonal dishes and very nicely implemented classics! Price / performance ratio is fine.

Were there a total of 3 times to eat in a week (including breakfast). The food was always delicious, but unfortunately the dessert I ordered was already out every time ☹. There was nothing missing at breakfast. Everything your heart desires was available ... from salmon to vanilla pudding with red jelly and prosecco. I can only recommend everyone to have breakfast there once ?. The waitresses were always friendly and courteous. I also recommend the iced tea and the starter plate ... even if it is confusing at first that the iced tea is basically "prepared", it was still very tasty ? and on the starter plate, I think, there is something for everyone.

I ate very tasty spicy mussels there ...... It was a shame that I was really hungry afterwards. The mussels were very, very small ..... that was on 09/30/2020 if you had at least given plenty of bread. .there were only 2 small slices ..... But they were really delicious ..... THEY can cook very well ... .... and the dessert should definitely be tried ...... all class ?

This restaurant stands out from the rest of the restaurants on the street. The interior is cozy, classic and enveloped in warm light. The price level is above average in Duhnen. However, the dishes are wonderfully presented and sometimes very refined. The fish was cooked to the point, the risotto had a pleasant bite and the pumpkin sauce was very tasty. The dessert completely convinced me. A combination of fruit, ice cream and spices. Here you can spend a special evening. The service is friendly and unobtrusive, very pleasant.

.... and again we visited this beautiful restaurant for the third time. So far our reviews have been excellent, the food as well as the two waiters, a young man from the south and Alex were super nice. This time, on 09/12/2020, the dark-haired waitress was "very cautious" when it came to greeting and asking for the food. For the mussel dish, we would have liked to have had a tasty brew with the toasted bread that was clearly too dark. We'd love to come back, especially since the waitress apologized afterwards.

The quality of the food is okay, the service rather cautiously friendly ... The portion size is just about acceptable in relation to the price. Based on the assessment when participating in "My local, your local" we had promised ourselves a lot more! In the end, it's just a nice restaurant in a tourist town. In any case, you don't necessarily have to go there a second time.

Today I went to eat here with my family. Noodles with crabs, baked potatoes with salmon, redfish and plaice fillet and the Duhner fish pan. Everything tasted great! The ambience is great, the service friendly and despite the abundance of the restaurant, the drinks and food were served quickly. We would love to come back.

Very friendly staff. Upscale ambience and service. Food came quickly and was fresh. Price range - okay. We would like to come again :)

The mussels were delicious. The mussels, however, are quite small, so I know bigger ones. As I said, but delicious. The desserts rounded off the dinner perfectly. We had the plate for 2 and I find it difficult to say which I liked best of it. Gladly again.

Great restaurant in the middle of Duhnen. Very great ambience with attentive service. The menu is very versatile, so there should be something for everyone. The portions were almost a bit too small for us. So if you are very hungry, prefer to order a starter or a dessert afterwards. The chicken fillet ordered was grilled on the lava stone and seasoned with neatly crushed pepper. Unfortunately, that wasn't visible on the map. If you are sensitive to sharpness, you should ask here beforehand. Otherwise we spent a wonderful evening here and would love to come back!

Overwhelming breakfast buffet. Everything your heart desires! Incl large pots of coffee € 15 per person. The buffet was always carefully refilled. There was also Prosecco, if you wanted. Super attentive staff and very friendly. Ambience mix between old, modern and maritime. Lovely again!

It's pleasantly different here. Because this restaurant stands out in a positive sense from the others in town. Fresh ingredients in smart combinations that are not only called fried fish on tartar sauce. You can tell that the cook and the staff try hard to please the guest. The dishes are very tasty and prepared with care. Eating is a pleasure here. So if you want to eat really well in Duhnen, you can go to MEAL BY THE SEA.

Great stop for your next North sea trip

Great atmosphere, delicious fish.

We were on July 8th, 2020 at the meal by the sea. A table for seven people was no problem at all and could be reserved in advance. A great service from the restaurant is a reminder emailed the day before the visit. The staff was absolutely courteous and very friendly. We were given a table with a lot of space and the ambience of the restaurant was absolutely successful. The attentive action of the service staff was also excellent in bringing the youngest member of our group the food first :-) The food was delicious and the menu offers classic dishes such as fish, various types of meat and great starters and desserts. The price is a little higher than at other restaurants but the ambience, the service and the quality of the food make it all go away. The only small point that could be criticized is the respective portion size but that's always a matter of opinion ;-) We would love to come back and can definitely recommend the restaurant!

Young lady was adorable and very helpful. Food was A.MA.ZING. Prices are fair and atmosphere is a delight.
